The company launches Reebok and Abercrombie clean out programs on Earth Day, to complement sustainable secondhand initiatives offered throughout Earth Month.

Today on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, thredUP, the world’s largest fashion resale marketplace, announces two new brand partnerships as part of its revolutionary RAAS (Resale-as-a-Service) platform.

In addition to growing its roster of brand partners, thredUP has also launched several other charitable clean out and shopping initiatives that enable customers to give back while doing good for the planet by choosing used.

Retail x Resale is the Future of Fashion

Today, thredUP launched two new partnerships with Reebok and Abercrombie & Fitch that reward their customers for extending the life of their clothes. These legacy brands join companies such as Reformation, Gap, Athleta, Macy’s, Madewell, Christy Dawn, and more — who are all plugging into thredUP’s infrastructure to offer convenient resale experiences to their customers.

  1. Reebok: thredUP’s partnership with Reebok invites customers to turn in secondhand clothes in exchange for 150 Reebok UNLOCKED loyalty points.

  2. Abercrombie & Fitch: thredUP has partnered with Abercrombie & Fitch to encourage their customers to turn in secondhand clothes in exchange for shopping credit to be redeemed at Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister, and receive an additional 15% payout bonus.
